Welcome to Water Patrol, an Australian owned family run business. The ideology underlying Water Patrol is based on the principle of providing products designed to enhance the layer of protection between a child and a body of water. We have extensively researched the issue of childhood drownings and near drowning incidents, and have been compelled to provide water safety products that can help provide some of those layers of protection needed.
With over 85% of Australians living near the coast, and a climate that ensures we have an affinity with the beach, backyard pools and local swimming holes, it is easy to understand why water safety is a major concern to parents.
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children in the 0-4 year age group, with 33 children on average drowning annually in that age bracket. For every child that drowns, four more are admitted to hospital, and a large number of these children will suffer brain damage to some extent.
Nearly half of the drownings in the 0-4 year age group happened in backyard swimming pools. However, beaches, rivers, lakes, dams, baths, inflatable pools and even buckets pose a threat, as a child is able to drown in as little as 5cm of water.
Water Patrol has carefully researched and tested many different types of alarms to ensure pool owners and parents are provided with effective water safety products that work. Our pool alarms are certified to worldwide standards, ensuring that every single pool alarm that is produced is individually and rigorously tested.
