Woolmer's Estate is a unique and fascination reflection of colonial life and convict history within Tasmania and was, therefore, acknowledged with world heritage status in 2010. In addition to it's convict history, the site contains a wide range of possessions acquired over 180 years, providing a rare insight into the customs and experiences of the Archer family. Guided tours of Woolmer's are an excellent and educational experience that take visitors through a collection of items acquired by six generations of family history. Tours of the homestead and outbuildings are priced at $20 adult, $7 child, $45 for a family and $17 for concession. Self guided tickets give access to the grounds, outbuildings and rose garden at a cost of $14 adult, $5 and 32.00 for a family. The cafe on premises opens between 11:00am to 2:00pm, offering a unique dining experience inside the rejuvenated 1850's servants kitchen.
