Brisbane Whale Watching is a multiple award winning nature tourism cruise company owned and operated by the South Pacificâ??s only female Captain of a whale watching venture, Captain Kerry Lopez.
Kerry and her friendly crew are at the ready to take you on an unforgettable journey through the crystal clear waters of Brisbaneâ??s Moreton Bay to experience the mesmerizing migration of the mighty humpback whales.
On board the multi-million dollar purpose built luxury catamaran â?? MV Eye-Spy, you will come face to face with these amazing mammals and witness them frolic, blow and splash all just metres away.
Tours operate daily during the whale watching season â?? June through to November, with sightings a daily occurrence. Your experience includes morning and afternoon teas, gourmet buffet luncheon, expert whale behaviour commentary and full day cruise on board our magnificent luxury vessel.
Tours depart from Redcliffe Jetty, an easy thirty minute drive from downtown Brisbane and the domestic and international airports. Coach transfers are also available from Brisbane CBD and Sunshine Coast.
Kerry is committed to the conservation and preservation of the migrating humpback whales and marine life that inhabit the bay, with a portion of each ticket donated to a variety whale organisations for ongoing research.
Slick operation owned and operated by the impossibly glamorous Captain Kerry. She greets us as we board her very modern and comfortable boat. Heading out toward Moreton Island we had our first magical encounter with a mother humpback whale and her beautiful baby right beside us. These were the first of about 10 whales we saw closeup on our half-day trip, along with a pod of dolphins and sea turtle. Lunch is supplied on the boat and humpback season is June to November.
