At our Centre, tuition involves both working with a student to improve their skills and understanding within a subject and also with encouragement and positive reinforcement to help nurture a student's confidence with their studies.
Tuition sessions run for a one hour duration, per subject, for High school students and between half-an-hour to one hour for Primary aged students. During a student's first lesson, they are assessed in their subject area, to determine their strengths and weaknesses within the subject and then an individual program is prepared.
Our tutors are qualified educators.
The Centre operates on a term basis, the same as the school term, breaking for the school holidays. Tuition can be arranged during the holiday period by special request. Tuition sessions are conducted on Mondays through to Thursdays, with classes starting at 4pm and running through to 8pm. Fridays at the Centre are for Counselling appointments.
When a day and time is agreed upon for a student's tuition sessions, this remains booked for the term. However, we are flexible, and if this needs to be changed, or if at any time your child is unable to attend their scheduled tuition session, we ask that you contact the office so we can then organise for a make-up lesson at another convenient day and time in the term. There are no additional costs for absences or make up classes.
