AT Reach Your Potential Tutoring Centres, the team of dedicated tutors has made it their mission in life to help children with different learning styles succeed.
Director, Diana Vogel says children with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) need to be nurtured and educated in ways that suit them and bring their special talents to the world.
We believe that dyslexia/ADD/ADHD is a gift, not a disability, and that this difference in learning style is essential to the advancement of our society,? she said.
We are firm believers in showing these children that they are not slow, stupid, dumb or disabled in any meaningful way.?
We use a variety of activities and approaches uniquely suited to these children that incorporate brain integration, movement-based learning, learning styles and advances in neuroscience and quantum physics, as well as a systematic approach to teaching the English language.?
Helping kids learn in ways that are suited to them isnt all they do - important life skills such as stress management and communication skills are built into every session, with the goal of helping children to help themselves.
We arent your average tutors we take a whole person approach, believing each person should be educated according to their learning style,? said Mrs Vogel.
Fifty per cent of youth suicides and 80 per cent of youth detainees have a learning difficulty. We believe these statistics are too high.?
At Reach Your Potential Tutoring Centres, we are doing our part to help rebuild, maintain and increase the self-belief and self-esteem of these at-risk children.?
