Starting as a Mechanic and Petrol station sometime in the mid 60?s we brought in tyres in 1970 and changed the name to Marin?s Tyre Service. Robert Marin dropped selling petrol sometime in the mid 70?s and just ran as a Tyre and Mechanical workshop. Sometime in the early 80?s Robert sold the business to Warren who changed the name to Young street rubber works. Denis and Barbara Moore took over in the late 80?s and changed the name to Ocean Beach rd Tyre Service.
In 2011 Denis and Barbara passed on the torch to their sons Darrell and Wayne. Then in July 2014 the business transformed to become a member of Tyrepower and a backing workshop and warehouse were added to the shop on the rear facing Mutu st. This expansion helped facilitate an upgrade in inventory and service previously not seen on the Peninsula. We now hold the largest range of tyres and through Tyrepower have access to all the big brands at the best prices!
We have a proud history in the Peninsula and have developed many strong connections within the Umina Beach, Ettalong, Pearl Beach, Patonga, Kariong, Koolewong, Point Clare, Tascott, St Hubert?s Island, Killcare, Pretty Beach, Booker Bay, Hardy?s Bay, Wagstaffe, Empire Bay and Woy Woy area.
