Vehicles requiring a safety certificate are:

-> brakes
-> steering
-> suspension
-> body rust or damage
-> windscreen

If you are thinking about purchasing a vehicle, we would highly recommend a pre-purchase inspection which provides a thorough, independent check of the vehicle.
