Kurrajong Downs a vineyard restaurant located six kilometres east of Tenterfield, is a perfect place to visit.
Named after the Kurrajong trees on the property, and its origins as part of the original Barney Downs Station, it is a vineyard with cellar door wine sales and a restaurant that can cater for over 100 people.
Kurrajong Downs has terraced lawns with a retaining wall made of massive granite boulders, and an underground cellar cut into the hillside for wine storage.
Lynton and Sue Rhodes invite visitors to relax on the viewing deck overlooking the vineyard, and sample their fine food and wine. The restaurant also opens for a la carte dining on Friday and Saturday nights, and on other nights for bookings of twelve or more.
