Moores Hill Estate Vineyard is located at Sidmouth, in northern Tasmania’s Tamar Valley wine region. Established in 1997, Moores Hill Estate’s first vintages of pinot noir and chardonnay were bottled in 2000. The Estate’s range of award-winning wines has since expanded to include cabernet sauvignon, merlot and riesling. Moore’s Hill wines are 'fruit driven' styles - where the quality and flavours of the grapes are expressed in the final quality of the wine. Premium grapes are selected to ensure distinctive wines of the highest possible quality.
The Tamar Valley is one of Tasmania’s premium wine producing regions. The area is characterised by a cool climate, loamy soils and long ripening periods; ideal conditions for high quality grapes and distinctively flavoured wines.
Sidmouth is half an hour’s drive from Launceston (40 kilometres), west of the Tamar River.
