Mount Avoca Vineyard is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees Ranges in Central Victoria. The clay and gravel that yielded gold 100 years ago now grows flavoursome grapes that produce excellent wine. Since the first wine was made in the region in 1978, Mount Avoca has become recognised both in Australia and overseas for the high quality of wine produced. All the grapes are grown and all wines are made at Mount Avoca, enabling control of the entire process. Mount Avoca wines are always well balanced with obvious longevity, and are wines of finesse and style. Petanque is an ever popular past-time on the petanque piste - with a glass of wine in hand. An open fire every weekend in winter and free barbeque facilities in summer make for a warm welcome. Cheese platters are available daily.
