Yoga
Classes aim to increase flexibility and strength (including core strength) and balance of the physical body. Emphasis is given to alignment in the postures to improve posture and overall body balance. Yoga postures and breathing practices work to harmonize and calm the nervous system cultivating relaxation improving stress management. The practice is energizing yet rejuvenating.
Mainly a combination of Hatha, Iyengar and Vinyasa styles.
Options are given to cater for different levels of experience.
Monday- 7:15-8:45pm
Sellicks Community Hall, Rivera Rd, Sellicks Beach.
Saturday- 10:15-11:45am
Aldinga Institute Hall, 23 Old Coach Rd, Aldinga.
Cost for yoga classes:
Casual: $15 $13 concession
5 Class Pass: $70 $60 concession
Chi Yoga
A gentle class, emphasisng breath and movement connection suitable for all ages and fitness level. Each class having a different focus.
Combines tai-chi, yoga and qi-gong. It is calming and centring, increases flexibility, balance and strength. Includes pranayama (breathing practices), mudras (hand gestures) and meditation along with the various exercises.
Can be done on its own or to help one get deeper into the practice of yoga which follows after this class.
When:
Saturdays 9-10am (through school term)
