Cheltenham Community Centre (CCC) is a not for profit organisation that strengthens community by offering all people a diverse range of community services, learning opportunities and resources for personal development.
CCC has over 1000 participants attending a wide variety of services and programs each year, including adult education, childcare, recreational programs for both adults and children and social support groups.
CCC is supported by funding from a number of organisations. These include Adult Community and Further Education, the Department of Planning and Community Development, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the City of Kingston.
Through a contract with AMES, CCC is one of the largest community providers of the Australian Migrant English Program.
CCC believes in working together in partnerships with local agencies, learning institutes and government to provide both yourself and the community with a service to the best of our ability. In particular CCC works with organisations that provide specific programs for people with disabilities. Such programs offered at CCC include Music and Computers for people with acquired brain injury and Gentle Exercise and Movement to Middle Eastern Music for people with disabilities.
All programs are conducted by highly qualified and experienced staff while management of CCC is overseen by a volunteer Board of Management.
