Karen came to meditation, mindfulness and Yoga in 1994 when going through a very difficult time in her life. She began studying and practising mindfulness, meditation and yoga.
These practices had such a profound and extraordinary impact in her life that she wanted to share these skills with others. So about 10 years ago, Karen studied to become a Meditation and Yoga teacher and currently runs a successful Yoga and meditation business.
Karen?s background in science (Registered Nurse) led her to explore and look for evidence-based mindfulness practice. She began studying Acceptance Commitment Therapy, the basis of which is mindfulness practice.
She has found a way to make these valuable skills accessible to everyone without having to be traditionally interested in spirituality; bridging the gap between science and spirituality.
Working in the corporate world, Karen also trains health professionals to become coaches. She delivers a perfect balance to this world using mindfulness practices, combined with a wealth of training delivery experience into high-performance group facilitation.
Karen has discovered after working with hundreds of people that Mindfulness and meditation has been the most effective tool to ease suffering, to move from the darkness of depression and anxiety into the light of living with awareness and joy, also assists to motivate toward a goal or a particular life purpose.
Karen has a great love for learning, applying and teaching and is very excited about sharing these skills with you.
