My car was booked for service today "Drop it in at 8am"- Mechanics waiting for Craig ,no keys to open up. After waiting 15 minutes I was asked to write details on a piece of paper....Unprofessional! Later in the morning I received a call " Your front brakes need attention, almost metal to metal and discs too thin to be machined" estimated cost for service, new brakes and a pink slip..."about $700" Luckily a friend with knowledge was available,Went to workshop to check if previous garage had pulled a fast one and charged me for new brakes not actually fitted at last service. Brakes were obviously used but not in need of work! This is the third time that a garage has seen me as a dumb female and tried to " do" unnecessary work on my car. Sorry to say that again at next service time I will be on the lookout for an honest efficient service centre.
