Hawkesbury Whitegoods Service

I've recently been reminded to warn people against using this service. Call out fee was around $140 for my washing machine. The part was going to be procured and installed in a matter of days so the machine was left dismantled then I was told that the part was obsolete and nothing could be done. A google search came up with the part that replaced the obsolete part but the rather terse woman on the phone at Hawkesbury Whitegoods told me that it wouldn't work. I found the whole experience after the initial callout really horrid. I did buy the part from eBay and insisted it be installed as part of the agreed $140 original fee. Whilst it WAS installed (I had to agree that there would be no warranty on it) and HASN'T played up at all, I won't be recommending this company.

Kept telling me my fridge was fixed. 3 times it wasn't. $130 call out plus $58 for a $20 part that was not broken but they replaced twice! They now want another $270 for a part that Samsung says should only be $120. Huge marks up and unable to fix after 3 visits! I have raised a case with Fair Trading to see if I am entitled to a refund.
