Gold Coast Organic Meats

Such a rude girl working here. A couple of months ago I phoned from Burleigh at 5.30pm to see what time the shop shut. Pleasant male voice told me open till 6pm. I got there at 5.45 only to find the girl behind the counter tell me they were closed. (No sign of other workers) The cabinet was empty. I told her I had phoned but it made no difference and she refused to get out any meat for me she had put away. (mince, sausages or rump). There was a man in the shop waiting, who I thought was a customer, leaning on the counter but he was waiting for her to finish work.

For a different reason, today is the last day I will ever go there. She has been rude to me for the very last time. Goodbye Gold Coast Organic Meats. I hope your boss finds out how different you are when he's not around.

This butcher has now changed hands and is run by a man named Eric and has gone DOWNHILL terribly, my experience with him has been TERRIBLE!!! The previous owners were wonderful and I used to buy meat from them regularly. I called to place an order of 1/4 beef and 1/2 lamb, well on the day the order was to arrive it never showed up, I called and they had no record of my order. So I reordered again and explained what I wanted only to find so much of it missing when it arrived. The side of lamb was missing a leg a shoulder a shank and all the scraps and bones. I haven't been through the beef yet but I'm sure I'll find the same! When talking to Eric about the problems I encountered, he was the rudest man I have ever come across!!! Absolutely NO customer service offered, NO ownership of the problems they had caused me, NO offer to rectify and supply the missing meats, just spoke over the top of me and was extremely rude and arrogant. I will NEVER buy from them again but will buy Cleavers meat from Coles which is organic and halal free, and also from my local butcher who gets in good organic meat

I would have preferred to give a no star rating because the service at this shop is abysmal. They are totally uninterested in knowing why I am not satisfied - whenever I have raised dissatisfaction which has been more than once, I am shut down with an aggressive response which instantly informs me that they are uninterested in change as they have the market cornered.
The meat is fine nothing to rave about. They survive because there is no competition. If this wasn't the only organic butcher on the coast I would not shop here.
