Vicki Field Swim School

John Sugden Swim School took over Vicki Fields in January and me and my family have been super happy! The new reception staff and teachers are lovely and we were happy to know that some of the existing teachers would be staying on board too! The new owners are finally taking progressive action to fix up the building and have resurfaced the pool already!

Disappointing experience!

I had been going to Vicki fields swim school for over three years and had always paid upfront and made every effort to give notice when I could attend. I recently missed the start of term due to a medical condition came to one lesson and then had to stop due to a different medical condition. When I asked for a refund they refunded the rest of the semester but refused to refund the lessons missed at the start even though I could not do make up classes due to doctors orders. I had given them copies of medical certificates for the lessons missed at the start of term and copies of my phone records to show that I had called them before the lessons to notify them of the missed lessons. They said that I did not notify them and that the refund for the remainder of term was far more than required. I was extremely disappointed in how I was treated as my request was said to be "a desperate ploy to get money" when all I wanted was not to pay for a service I hadn't received and had no way of receiving later (due to medical conditions). I understand that it is their business right to make that decision but I would have hoped that after more than three years of being a loyal customer with two children they might have showed some compassion.
