Would give this business a fat zero if I could. Was interested in one of the watches for sale but was told I could look through the window. Asked why the owner wouldn't show the watch her disappointed he didn't want people to push the buttons or wind the watch.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Ekselman to anyone who is serious about their watches. Over the past eight months, Ekselmans have restored or repaired eight auto watches of mine as I have been building a collection. Their work has been faultless, beyond a couple of minor tweaks that were promptly corrected and covered by warranty. Ekselmans' background in jewelry means they are very good at working on the watch cases, therefore worth checking out for people who are into restoring retro pieces as I am. Ekselmans is not cheap but is value for money. This is an old school business where if you build a rapport with the watchmakers, you will get better and better outcomes. This is not a set-up ad to make Ekselman look good by the way. I've had a great experience there and hope others will too. It took me a while to break the ice with Andre, but it's been worth it. People who are passionate about their watches should check them out.

Shocking customer service, does not stand by work or warranty, very slack long turn around times.

I had a bad experience getting one of my automatic watches serviced here.

The watch was serviced but didn't keep good time. I live in rural victoria so it took me a while to return the watch to be serviced again (12 month warranty). The owner refused to service the watch, and claimed that all seals would need to be replaced, despite the fact the watch was only worn a couple of times, as not keeping good time. The owner claimed I had the watch more than 12 months but it was more his poor turn around time as the watch sat in there shop for three months before they called me to let me know it had initially been serviced.

The owner refused to honour the warranty on his work.

The customer service is very poor and I will certainly be getting my automatic watches serviced elsewhere.

Do not ever visit this watch repair shop. Firstly, they advertise themselves as a registered Seiko dealership/repair centre, which they are not (this can be verified by Seiko themselves). Secondly, the man who I assume is the owner of the shop, is absolutely clueless about watches. He was rude and pretentious, and claimed that a vintage watch I own was an imitation stating that it had 'stiff band', he had no other reasoning. He made no comment about the watch itself after being further prompted, which I found quite amusing as this particular watch has been sited by several of the most well renowned second hand watch dealers around Melbourne CBD as being 100% legit.

If you're looking for a polite, knowledgeable and trustworthy watch repair centre/dealer, this is most certainly NOT the place to visit, please avoid it at all costs. Thank you.

Fast and efficient service. Took a couple of my prized possessions in to get fixed...few days later they were working perfectly. Staff was friendly, work was excellent. Not much else to say really. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent Service, friendly staff and hassle free

I was extremely distressed after loosing the gold dial surrounding my watch face until I decided to take it to Ekselman watchmakers to discuss whether it could be fixed. The staff were very diligent and agreed to source another dial from the manufacturer and replace the face within a week. The friendly staff at the watchmakers, contacted me with a competitive quote for a replacement dial and continued to provide their impeccable customer service throughout the process. I will continue to use their service and recommend the watchmakers to all my family and friends. Very satisfied Customer.

Honest & reliable.

took two vintage (70s) automatic seiko watches to the so called " SEIKO REPAIR CENTRE" for service (maintenance - no faults) a little while back. had to return both watches 2 and three times as had face off centre, and tachymetre ring in wrong place by 180 deg, chapter ring miss-aligned, huge scratches in case backs and a dent in one face. After each return another fault. Excuse was that his watchmaker was in his 80s. After saga, realised I had taken one watch to them many years before and they had scratched the case back then too. BEWARE!!!

The very best in watch servicing and repairs. If you have a high quality watch, this is the only place in Melbourne worth taking it to. Myself and friends have entrusted Ekselman on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
