South Melbourne Market

I really enjoy visiting the South Melbourne Market and I recommend it as a place to go to get quality fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese and baked goods. Theres plenty of non-food related shops and car parking is available on the roof. It is easily one of the best markets in Melbourne.

South Melbourne is a smaller market but has the best produce out of all the inner city markets in Melbourne. The produce is fresh & has a great shelf life so is valuable for money. The seafood shop sells some of the best seafood in Melbourne with amazing variety & expert advice. Parking can be a bit tricky but definitely worth the trip

This is a great market. Has the standard fruit and vegetables, meat, deli and bread items. Also has clothes and nic-nac stores, but it doesnt have all the souvenir shops like the Vic Markets. You can wonder around and get a freshly shucked oyster for $1, have the famous South Melbourne market Dim Sims, but my favourite is the BBQ Pork Buns.
