The Blundstone website said this crowd had the boot model I wanted to try on. It was wrong but they offered to get a pair in. They wanted a $50 deposit as they said folk had been asking for this kind of thing but not turning up.

So *four weeks later* I'd heard nothing, and I rang. Five minutes on the phone and they couldn't tell me what was happening and said they'd ring back. A day later they hadn't so I went back out there for my money back.

No explanation, no apology, two trips and an hour and a half of wasted time. Quite a hit to my hip pocket - a memorable name they've adopted.

Another retailer said it would take two days to get a pair in.
