Stockdale & Leggo Wangaratta

Stockdale and Leggo Wangaratta are no doubt the worst real estate agency my partner and I have ever experienced. Rent arrears incurred from previous tenants in July 2018 were not communicated at all until we took over the lease for half a year, S&L pestered us to pay the rent arrears in Nov 2019 that were not even our faults. Why did it take one whole year to ask about the rent arrears, when in May 2019, Stockdale asked us for a mere 3 dollars which we paid immediately?



When asked about this, not only did the staff (Melanie and Sarah) fail to explain this oversight or apologise, they pushed all responsibilities onto us as tenants, and hang up on us, yelling over the phone and issued statements of threatening nature. We offered to pay an additional 5 dollars a month, which they declined and said we could go to vcat if that suits. 'If 5 dollars a month do you think you deserve to be in the rented property?' Who would say that to a customer who has been dutifully and adequately paying rent every month, even days in advance?



It has never been about 127 dollars, it is about our dignity and self respect as tenants with perfect rental record and utmost care to the property. Service delivery is so critical but sadly Stockdale and Leggo have failed to deliver, waiting more than a year to communicate and robbed us of the opportunity to settle with the previous tenants.



This is disappointing, showing clearly to the agents tenants are just trash and unworthy of prompt communication, or even apologies. Will never recommend S&L to anyone else.
