      How do I extend the life of my Kirby? Do I need service often?

      Avoid vacuuming bolts, batteries, coins, screws and other bits that can destroy your Kirby. Our friendly, well-trained customer support team will be able to help you over the phone or in the convenience of your home with most of your Kirby Home Care System needs.


      When should I replace my Kirby belt?

      Locate the green LED on your machine head. If the light is flickering, a lot or you can barely see it you will need to change the belt immediately. If you service with us regularly we will install a free belt and a free bag every time you service.


      Which bags fits my Kirby?

      Since 2014, we have the New Universal Kirby bags. Those are made by Kirby to fit all recent generation machines from G4 to Sentria II. We strongly suggest using those bags as they are designed to replace the old F and S style bags in a new convenient universal Kirby bags package.


      Is Kirby better than other big brands like Dyson or Shark etc.?

      We like to leave that question for you to decide. The best way will be to book a demo with us and make your own research and tests. Then you can decide for yourself.

      My Kirby vacuum have lost most of its suction! Do I need a service?

      Yes, once a year service will be strongly advisable. You may feel like your Kirby vacuum have lost its suction. All Kirby Home Care Systems have its fan up front and that's where the great powerful suction comes from. However with that, design there is a trade-off - all the dust, sand and particles your Kirby is vacuuming are passing brought the front Kirby plastic fan blades. With the years passing by your fan may become worn off that is leading to losing the suction of your Kirby machine.

      Recommended! I visited this store a few months ago to buy a belt for my Kirby. The staff was very knowledgeable, in the 10 minutes I spent there I learned a lot of new things about my old Kirby. Apart from the belt I also bought a spot remover called Oxy - works fantastic for all sorts of spots on the carpet, as well as a pack of genuine bags. I am very grateful to the salesperson for telling me that the paper bags I used to buy from various other shops are not good for my machine. These new bags keep the house absolutely dust-free and my partner who used to refuse using the Kirby now does not want to touch any other vacuum even for the garage. A few days ago their service tech came to check my Kirby while I was at work. There was no charge for the visit as the Kirby was only serviced recently and according to the tech was "good as new". My partner said he was very polite, and he showed her how to shampoo carpets. He must have done a good job because by the time I came home she had shampooed the whole house and only used less than 1l of the 4l bottle of shampoo she purchased. The carpets were clean, soft and almost dry.

      Today was my first visit to the Rockingham Kirby store.
      So far I have never been happy with the service I have received with my Kirby in Perth. The Kirby has been the best thing ever for removing pet hair from rugs and car, but as far as the service goes.. it was not too flash. Today was a different experience altogether, and even though I am not one to write reviews I just have to.
      This morning when I was using the Kirby I had a problem with burning smell coming off it. I got scared and decided to take it to the local service, thinking the engine is burning, even though it has been serviced recently. The lady who met me was very friendly, offered me to wait few minutes while she checks the Kirby and gave me a chocolate egg. It turned out that I have been using a belt that was not genuine. That was a surprise because I had bought from Bunnings. Turns out they don't stock genuine Kirby products at Bunnings. She changed the belt, gave me 3 more, showed me how to change them myself. There was nothing else wrong with my Kirby, and she checked all parts. It only cost me $20 for belts and I bought shampoo for $25. Then I told her that my shampooer was not foaming, and she knew straight away what I needed to do to make it work. Just tested my shampooer - she was right again! Can't thank her enough. I offered her extra money for the advice and the time she spent to show me all of those things I didn't know how to do, she declined and said that if I am happy she would appreciate it if I just told others about my experience.

      Fantastic service A+++++

      2 months ago ordered a brush for my Kirby. Last week tried to fit it. Turned out I bought the wrong one. After a quick call to the office they sent a technician to bring the fitting brush. I mentioned a weird noise. The man serviced the machine on the spot. Now its working like the Big Ben.
      During the service I was given a short rundown on most functions as I was using only the carpet cleaner head. Now I am able to inflate the airbed in a jiffy.
      Many thanks guys. This machine is great now, but I think I should have the new one for home and retire old one for the car and garage. My birthday coming soon. Hope you can supply.

      Put our kirby in to see what was wrong with it. Then got over $600 quote to fix with the option to upgrade to a new one. We decided we didn't want to go with either option and then they said we needed to pay $170 fee. This was not discussed before and we didn't want to proceed. I said that I wanted to get my Kirby back and they said I had to pay that amount ( which we never agreed or signed a quote) to get the Kirby back. They said they would take us to court over it. So don't put your kirby in to be looked at as they will make you pay even if you decide you want to go through with it. Totally dodgy and unprofessional!!!!!! They say they will check and then will try and make you pay.
