1000 Pound Bend

DO NOT HIRE THIS VENUE FOR YOUR FUNCTION OR WEDDING! We were interested in The Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo (out the back of 1000 Pound Bend) for our wedding service and inquired through their website a couple of times. After hearing nothing in response we contacted again with more exact details and also inquired through 1000 Pound Bend. When we still didn’t hear anything I decided to try their parent company Get Notorious and from this email I got a response. We found a time that suited and went to see the place. Unfortunately we really liked it and after chatting with the girl who showed us around about some of the details she said she would send us a quote that afternoon. I've noticed that if you have one bad experience at a place it seems to ruin all of those really good experiences that you had in the past, and usually it takes some time before you get over it to come back and try the place again. Well, unfortunately this happened to me here, and I have to emphasise that it was only once (they forgot my tea and my Onesie – one slice of sour bread toast, one bacon rasher, and one egg – was somewhat overcook). However, I have really liked the atmosphere in this place, and really held off writing about it until I had some breakfast here (and ended up having a onesie which, ideally, is a quick bite to eat if you are in a bit of a rush, or aren't incredibly hungry). Mind you, the place is pretty popular, and I'm sure to come back here sometime because, as I suggested, it is a pretty cool place with a real retro atmosphere, but not just yet.

Lots of atmosphere, good prices and staff were really helpful, especially as it was our first day in melbourne. Breakfast was tasty and filling and loved the bacon.

Staff are unprofessional and lack basic customer service skills.

Event management is of the lowest standard, ever.

Don't waste your time.
