My mum contracted 1800 Removals from country SA not knowing that they were not members of the Australian Furniture Removals Association, to relocate her belongings to Qld. It has been a very negative experience for her, with belongings lost and broken and no genuine attempt at customer service. The contractors used however were very courteous and professional, which beggars belief how her things were broken or lost. Poor effort and never to use again.
Sometimes in life you just want to bite off your own arm. Certainly the one I used to phone this bunch of moving industry misfits. Despite my wife's protests I was keen to give a local removals company a go so I accepted 1800 Removals' quote to shift our furniture a distance of just FOUR kilometres. Always listen to your wife. ALWAYS. This mob weren't just slow and clumsy they also try to make the client feel guilty for expecting better and faster completion of the task. Yes, they were cheaper than the others; partly because they only carry limited insurance. OK, that's fair because unless a mover smashes something really new and expensive all you get is Quantum of Loss (a fraction of what the item cost) and the process of claiming against a removalist's insurance is impenetrable. I only have one word for this company DISQUSTING they have broken and lost my items. I have been dealing with Tom in the office and he lied to myself and my husband he had no communication with the removalists in the truck and asked me for the phone number of the guys in the truck.They entered my back yard in the dark to pick up something I wasn’t supposed to receive I should of called the police. Tom had said he contacted the drivers about this yet they had never spoke to him LIAR ??. At time of writting this I still have items list and broken items. This company is Cowboys and I would never ever use them again.
If you care about your belongings don’t ever use this company.
They wanted to deliver my goods between 8.30 and 9pm at night ended up getting delivered in the dark their truck had no lights inside and they were trying to do everything in the dark!
