100% deserving of its popularity, 1806 was a divine highlight of our evening. The drinks were perfect, the share plate generous, the staff extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Despite being a swanky and popular venue, we were greeted with down to earth and generous hospitality that is so not the norm at such venues. I recommend this bar so much and would return in a heartbeat.

One of the places in Melbourne where it hasn't changed for years. As soon as you step inside, it feels like you're not in Melbourne. I like their fancy cocktails and whisky - the prices are a little expensive though.

This place hasn't changed over the years and they still do great cocktails and have such a big selection too. I tried their Japanese whisky which I enjoyed very much.

I like this place, loved reading the history of cocktails but found it hard to read in the diim lights which add to the atmosphere but just isn't good for the eyes. I would prefer if they offered smaller sizes like a shot glass so you can try the drink to see if you like it first before forking out $15+ for a drink just to find out you don't like it

A great place if youre in the mood for a classy cocktail and some conversation amongst even classier friends.



Very old timey with wooden floors and leather seats and couches, truly reminding you of the rich heritage of Melbourne.



Ask the staff for the drink in the tin can, defiantly one of the best drinks I've ever had! They are sure to know what you are talking about!
