Look at reputable reviews from customers that are legit and use real names! On other reputable platforms! People like the ones who have reviewed on here have a "bee in their bonnet" and were one of the very few unreasonable customers we have dealt with! Or they are part of an unstable family we have had dealings with for the past 18 years! A family that cannot move on and think it is funny to cause problems when they are the ones who have had their business go into liquidation, they have gone bankrupt, etc. Sadly True Local has a bad wrap for letting dishonest reviews stay active! Read their reviews carefully, they actually sound like Narcs who are talking about themselves! Leah - Co-Owner!

I recently got my frames from overseas and got this company to fit multifocal prescription sunglasses. They could not do not it so forwarded them to another optical dispenser in Western Australia. So posted from Port Douglas to WA. The prescription I forwarded had a problem so it had to be done twice. No problem with that.
At each stage however, i had to keep asking for updates. The owner does not respond to emails and makes you feel bad about asking for an update. He won't answer phone calls or messages. I had to use a different number to get through. The owner told me he doesn't answer calls in case its nuisance callers wanting to sell him something. "Nuisance callers?" Hi "Customer is king" - a few of my loyal "legit" customers have alerted me to this outrageous review. Full of lies and deformation. Do you know about the new deformation rules here in Australia? If you are actually in Australia and not a member of a family that writes and acts exactly the way you do. I urge you to do what all credible reviewers do - use your true name or one that you can be associated with, so we know who you are!....

Why would we need to send your frame to WA? Gene is our dispenser!.. The only reason why we would need to send your frame anywhere is because you have a frame that required special fitting and there are only two lens manufacturers we use and they are in Brisbane and Sydney!...

It is quite obvious that you are the one that is arrogant or aggressive. You are the only "Customer" that has ever written and acted the way you have. Leah Co-Owner.

Yes 7 years ago I used these lovely folks to change the lenses on my sunglasses.
I left my review and True Local verified my claims and correspondence via email with this business where name calling, abuse and generally poor customer service was displayed. Now I get an alert from True Local indicating there has been a further response to my past review. And now they are claiming I "deformed"them, and how exactly did I do that? I assume you mean defamed. Year 3 English lessons needed? I gave you my honest review. You ask for our real names, what for? So you can abuse us further? Its pretty simple, give responsive customer service and you will get decent reviews and not have to contend with negative reviews.

The fact that you can not display your own name and state obvious lies is enough proof that you are not a reliable source of information! True Local does not require any verification, that is why they are one of the most distrusted review platforms! You are lucky you do not show your name because we would sue you for your lies and defamation! - As per our Terms and Conditions! Why would we want to abuse you? It seems like you would get plenty of it elsewhere! We can prove that we do not deal with anyone in WA!... If your review is honest, why are you the only one that runs Gene down the way you do? You probably did not get your way and were unreasonable, so we gave up on you and this was your "mature" response. I showed Gene this review (we have not managed this listing for ten years). He is pretty sure he knows who you are. Like a handful of other unreasonable customers, you are memorable for all the wrong reasons. You fail to disclose the full and honest story. You tell lies, you belittle, you are unempathetic and disrespectful and you blow things out of proportion to try and get some sort of recognition. It is sad really. Gene would have done his very best to assist you knowing that a negative review would be a high possibility if he didn't. We rely on return customers and word of mouth, so he would have worked hard to do the right thing. People like you, are the reason why small businesses go out of business because you don't care about someone's reputation. You do not understand how reviews affect someone. You are a Narc! July 2023 - After seven years of destroying not only our business reputation but my business partners' reputation you decide to remove some abusive comments, some defamation, some false allegations, and names from your review and add new content?.... You have the nerve to question my motives!.. People like you ruin small businesses ability to provide for their families by affecting their income stream by toying with their reputation. You should be banned. The fact that True Local cannot make a note on your review saying updated or remove it, because it is fake, says a lot about this platform (They like getting some of the money people spend to have removalists remove offending reviews). So how exactly did I destroy your business? I gave a review based on my personal experience. The fact remains that I had lousy despicable customer service and received abuse for a simple question. Focus on your customer service and you will simply get favourable reviews. From experience True Local is an honest review platform, thats why I use it to review businesses here before I use them. We endeavor to deal with everyone as promptly as possible, but if a product is not available and you are awaiting responses from wholesalers, it would be impossible to give customers a play by play of what is transpiring behind the scenes in an effort to source the product they wish to purchase! If responses are not given immediately then questions have not been answered! But this does not mean process has stalled! People who require instantaneous results are best to shop at others! We are renowned to having great customer service, all you need to do is visit our testimony section of our site!

We don't however respond very well to our phone going off at 3.30 am in the morning! You can't call a retail shop at that time of the morning, so why would you call an Australian based business at that time? 9am-7pm Please!

An interesting read!... You are just another "no named" customer that we were not able to reason with! - In response to your "Do's and Don'ts" - I can get points about how to run a business online also!.. Google is good at giving information. Unless you can put your money where your mouth is, your words are just that, words! - You are the only customer that has ever rung up at 03:00 am in the morning and got upset with the response you got! All the answers, options etc were on the website. Why did you need to call? LOL! If you are a reasonable customer, you work with the business and you get the respect you deserve! We are doing fine thanks! Read our reviews from "reputable" customers. Ones that do not hide behind fake names and are just out to ruin someone's reputation based on their own initial poor judgment.
