The Lido Era - 1995 to 2015The Lido Era has now come to a close after 20 years...
The Lido Cafe/Restaurant used to be the only purple iconic landmark on Racecourse Rd with fabulous food and excellent customer service. (The building is NOW grey) The unique orange and purple art deco design used to create an atmosphere that enticed the customer to experience the Lido world within their own. The friendly and professional Lido team always aimed to ensure every customer's experience was one to be remembered, complimented with a diverse menu to suit everyone on any occasion. The Lido endeavoured to create a relaxed, enjoyable and entertaining experience with live jazz music on Wed, Fri & the 1st Sat night of every month..Terry Chapman the local Magician used to entertain on Thurs with Free Kids meals from 5.30 to 7.30... There used to be something for everyone on any occasion.

This will be one of my faourite places. Meet the man of my dreams here 10 years ago and then after 2 years I married him. Thank you for the wonderful service and food. This is a date place and will continue to come on our Meeting Anniversary Day... and other times of course..#reviewtowin
I got burnt magherita with zero apologies, and the attitude which says you can take your business elsewhere if you feel our food doesn't meet your approval since the other porkers are happily guzzling through our lovely trough. If you want to see bad service, go to Lido Woodfired Decadence.
