I/we have had fried rice at A Dongs ( take away ) but 0n the 1st. Dec. we found it to be very dry and what meat appeared to be burnt. I personaly feel that it was heated up left overs from early in the day or the night before and I feel that we won't be going back there for a long time, I knew their father when he was alive and he would have fit if he knew about this.
I have been going to the A Dong, for longer than I can remember, maybe early 90"s?
I have watched the family grow from babes in cots to young adults, throughout all those years the food has been consistently good. I have had dishes I didn't like, but that was me trying something new that I found wasn't to my taste, not a fault with the dish. The serves are good size, and I don't think the prices have changed in the last 10 years, so great value. Very family friendly, the staff will always give advise on flavours and any allergy worries. Well worth trying if you are new to Asian food and a bit unsure, let the girls guide you, you will enjoy!
I have been coming to this restaurant for several years and it has always been consistently delicious. The staff are always very friendly and take special orders. My favourite in particular is the spring rolls and fried rice. One special order that is particularly nice is having the crispy chicken without the lemon sauce, and ordering the garlic vegetables and then dipping the crispy chicken into the garlic sauce.
Went once and haven't been back....everything too hot. Asked for no chillie and still got it in my dishes. Everything looks yellow colour.
What did you order?
There's plenty of dishes without chilli; and to be honest, after going there multiple times in the last few months, I'd find it hard to believe their staff would make this kind of mistake - they are very on the ball usually.
What did you order? If everything was yellow you were ordering curry dishes, chilli does not give any colour to a dish.
