Would not recommend - they insisted on charging a call out fee and one hour labour (for two people) just to quote on a few jobs ($200+). I was not home and my partner, who is new to Australia, did not realise this is not common practice. When I called back to book in just one part of the quote, they became quite abusive and said they could only honour the quote if I did all the work, not one part of it. And, would only credit the quote cost if we proceeded with all the work. The call became quite erratic, with them repeatedly telling me stories about price blow outs on other jobs and insisting I use the word 'estimate' not quote when referring to the document. It is indeed unfortunate that the customer who booked the appointment to install 3 light fitting was not home on the day of appointment. We commenced work and found that old existing lights did not have an earth conductor so we could not install her metal light fittings. The client's partner then requested that we check the other 12 metal light fittings in the house and check some faulty socket outlets. We conducted all this work in just over an hour. We then spent about half an hour writing a quote which we did not charge the client for. We explained to the client's partner that our quotation for the work was only an estimate as we did not know the location of the main earth and could not be sure whether it existed.
