A Touch of Salt

I had a lovely work dinner here and came back with a friend to be severely disappointed. We wait an hour for food and the portion sizes were so small we went down Flinders street and got a real meal there. Customer service wasn't up to scratch either. Haven't been back since and won't ever go back....

A great family-run restaurant. Lots of great beers and wines (plus advice and recommendations if you need help - thanks Mark) and wonderful food. The only restaurant I know of in Townsville with a separate vegetarian AND coeliac menu. The desserts are to die for. A bit expensive for everyday but always first choice for special occasions - and we can usually think of something special to celebrate if we want a ToS meal!
Only drawback - lots of other people have discovered this gem so it's often busy but it's well-staffed and the service is always excellent.

I was impressed with the atmosphere in their private dining room, beautifully decorated and the decor matched the christmas menu that has recently become so popular with the locals in Townsville.

One of Townsville's finest restaurants. Fantastic modern cuisine at a relatively modest price. Portions are small but you expect this from most premier dining establishments. Service is second to none.
