Please don't use this company! they construct defective palling fences. Don't get sucked in by their cheaper quotes as that is how they suck you in. You get the lowest grade timber, they are tight with nails only nailing one lot of palings to the rails, the palings are spaced apart to conserve materials which have been paid for by the client of which they put in their pocket. In one year after being built my fences started bowing because the footings had gone and the posts are rotting. A building inspection has found that the posts have not been dug deep enough and not enough concrete put in. The fences are all twisting and gaps are everywhere and some measuring 4 inches wide. I have been advised that they are unsafe and that strong winds will bring them down. We also got A1 Home Services to do our colourbond fence yesterday, Wow talk about rude! I got home said hi, I got no reply and it just went down hill from there, my neighbor organized it, they had the cheek to reverse the trailer onto my front lawn without even asking/saying, they broke one of my plants, got concrete on 3 of my plants and 3 sections where not level, 2 sections where fixed the other one is out by 6mm, I asked for a discount for that one and how generous they took $9 off for each of us. They left their lunch rubbish on our front lawn as well as other rubbish (packaging etc) and concrete mix. I definitely will not get them again or recommend them to anyone.
We've got A1 Home Services to do our fencing... 2 months later, one section of the fence's timber shrunk and it came lose. We've tried to contact them back to come down and fix it but we've been constantly not told the truth to on when they plan to come down and fix it (they say Monday, but when Monday come, they don't show up). Three times so far in fact and we are planning to take legal action against them now.
We've recently used A1 Home Services to do our fence and are having similar problems to what you have had. Did they end up repairing/fixing the fence or did you have to take legal action? Did you get anywhere with that?
I rang them up on the forth go and the guy said, "this had never happen before!" and said he will come down to fix it next week and once again didn't show up. As it was only a small section of the fence, we'd used ropes to hold it in place and left it as is... Hopefully, our opinion will save some people the same fate as us.
