My house have been with Aami from last 14 or 15 years. Last 9 to 12 months we have a problem, our cilling is leaking. Its taken Aami insurance this long and the matter has still not been solved. Everytime i call them no one knows whats going on. They told as to send 2 quotes which we did. The minimum quote that we could got was $14000, but after all this time they have came up with $3000 which $1000 will be still for access which we have to pay them back. It's truly wast of time dealing with aami insurance. I am completely disappointed and disgusted with how they deal with their clients when they are in need. Finally they have been referring me with their coordinators which are rude and nasty. They just argues with their clients untill we give up.
I do not recomend Aami insurance for no one
Ive recently renewed my home and content policy with them, unfortunately for them I dont have my car with them as I dont find them competitive enough despite the offer of combining everything together. However, as for home and contents Ive been with them for a number of years and have found them to be competitive or only slightly more expensive. They offer a feature which is called complete replacement cover CRC which they claim they are the only insurer that offer this exclusively unlike the others. I like this, as it gives peace of mind should anything happened and not go through the headache of quantifying the value of the each individual products and how much they may have depreciated over time. Ive recently contacted their customer service office as I received the renewal and found that it has gone up which was nothing unusual, however what was frustrating that Ive never made a claim with them before. After presenting my case, the person I spoke ...read more
Absolute disgusted with the hole process. AAMIs handling of our claim was inept, inefficient and basically they couldn't give a d**n. Our repairs went from 9 working days to 12 working days to 16 working days. They allocated our repairs to a back yarder who basically couldn't give too hoots once they won the quote. No communication from AAMI regarding progress of repairs and no valid explanation about why our repairs kept being delayed. Would NOT recommend AAMI to anyone. And we were not at fault!
And I'm an AAMI customer. We have four cars insured with them. Can't wait for renewals
My review is from the perspective of someone whose car was hit by a car insured by AAMI - I helped the the people lodge their claim. It was not their fault, so clearly AAMI's job to payout.
Not only did AAMI take over 6 weeks to actually process the claim, a call from an AAMI assessor changed the value of the car 3 times in one call (it was a write-off), and tried to force into taking his valuation by saying that value was only valid today - tomorrow it would be lower. I called AAMI who assured me this was not so, and the value had been set.
Then called the assessor who said they would only offer a lower value than what had been set.
Still arguing over this and AAMI is no help, despite it being their staff member who is not following their procedures.
I know I'll never take AAMI insurance.
We have been with AAMI for years now and have never had any issues with them, either with the policy or claims we put through.
When I had my car accident, I put the claim in through the phone, the lady on the other side was so very helpful and nice that she reassured me of staying calm and be patient. She explained to me what to do next, to call the person who caused the accident (it was a bus company as I had a colission with a bus, get the details, etc...) My car was then sent to a panel beater/repairer and came back as promised, within 5 days, as new. I was extremly happy with the repair which was quite big, whole right side of the car. In the mean time I was given a replacement vehicle which I couldn't ...read more
