Aarons Marine Servicing

Aaron serviced my 2009 Mercury Optimax 2 stroke 90HP recently, he located the issue experienced during idle and solved it at 1/4 of the cost I was quoted elswhere. I couldn't be happier, and now the boat and family are ready for the school holidays in Exmouth.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!! I got a service from Aaron for my 140hp outboard and it is honestly the worst thing I have ever done. We never had a problem with it before but decided to go for some preventative maintenance, BAD IDEA!! We have now taken the boat out 6 times since he worked on it and have only managed to get 10 metres from the jetty before the problems start. He said "these things happen" and started to diagniose other issues and charged us for them. He left the outboard run HOT for 20 mins in the driveway!! The outboard is still not running and he refuses to take accountability. . He is not accepting our calls and is demanding money. We are now left with a hefty bill and a broken outboard!!! PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!!

Excellent. With on going engine trouble I was referred Aaron. It took him nothing more than 5 minutes to diagnose the problem. He then directed me the best path to take for the major repairs needed. He was happy to drive from north to south of the river(Hamilton hill) and then I was shocked as he said there was no charge!? The guy has integrity and values the customer. I'll use him from now on.

OK, firstly the review by boatman downunder is either talking about the wrong guy or is a competitor to Aaron...the second I doubt because I doubt anyone could compete with Aaron. This guy is incredibly thorough and was $400 cheaper to service my Suzuki DF140 than any previous service I've had. The motor is a 2004 model, and Aaron took me over it, helped me understand it, and showed me things that made my hair stand on end...like the fact that on a 12 year old motor, the anodes had NEVER been removed let alone checked or replaced. The impeller had not been replaced since 2011 and the one in there was the wrong part (from a Johnson).
