I revisited recently for breakfast - the menu has increased since my last visit but it still centres around their fantastic pastries and bread. I opted for the cured market fish with beetroot and citrus salad and whilst unusual, it was a great way to start the day - so tasty! Great coffee to go with it.
After the successful lunch I decided to have breakfast there. Because it was busy we needed to sit outside however, this was not an issue due to the thoughtful provision of lap rugs. Whilst there were many drool worthy breakfast options I settled on the smashed avocado on toast with dukkha, heirloom tomatoes and an egg. For $9 this was a satisfying meal and with a great coffee to go with it I was off to a great start with my morning.
After drooling over their pastries for quite a while now I stopped in for lunch with a friend. My friend and I split the pie and the sausage roll both of which came with a generous side salad and a good dollop of tomato chutney. Great value. The pie was excellent - loads of chunky, tasty, moreish filling with lovely pastry. The sausage roll was slightly disappointing - the pastry was again excellent however, the filling was tight, on the dry side and lacking taste. However, I will be returning to try other menu items.
