I've never experienced such terrible customer service. I was snapped at for asking of there were boxes to gift wrap a vase, then rudely rebuked for asking for a different colored wrapping paper because the staff behind the counter ( who I wasn't even addressing in the first place) was talking to a child. Staff actual response was "we're trying to have a conversation here". Sorry, I was just trying to buy something, but continue your conversation with a disinterested kid. I left the gift and the nasty staff and the over priced shop in shock.This is a total first world problem rant, but if you're in Bondi wanting to buy a gift, don't go into Abode - unless you like arrogant and un-provoked rudeness from it's employees. (The half star goes to the other employee who was actually nice and seemed just as shocked at their co workers attitude).

I had such a bad experience trying to buy in this shop this arvo. I was looking at a rug and asked the staff for the measurements, staff told me to come back tomorrow with a measurement tape and measure it myself! I was shocked. Then staff told me staff had another lamp I was interested in in the back but that it was too late today to unpack it (still 20 minutes away to closing time) and asked me to come back tomorrow..I will not come back due to their poor customer service, the shop staff is not knowledgeable and staff is rude..I wish I hadn't crossed that door

Gorgeous shop, incredible choice of gifts, books, office products, gardening products, luxury soaps and quirky products ... love this shop
