Absolute Mechanical

Went for a service... Walked out with nearly $1000 in urgent repairs. I paid without getting second quotes as I was going on a long car trip that day, and couldn't get in anywhere else. I didn't want a crash. They charged a ridiculous amount for 2x tyres on top of the repairs, and I was told after the fact that they had plenty of tread left as they were new. When I took it to another shop... The oil hadn't been replaced, they didn't put any anti-freeze in the water, they didn't change the spark plugs... Just wiped them down. And when they were replacing them, they broke one plug so that it was earthing on some metal in my motor and the others weren't screwed in properly so the car was losing compression. The oil wasn't replaced properly and nothing was fully done up or bolted back on correctly. They also broke some plastic mouldings in the engine bay. I will never go back there for a service. Not happy. No communication on there part two days now to fix a job. They over book themselves.

Highly recommend to any one needing mechanical services. They are by far the cheapest and so friendly
.You never get a nasty bill at the end of work.

They are cheap on a service because they don't do the job. For four years I took my car to them. Every time I paid they had a list of mechanical jobs waiting for me. I kept telling them for four years that there was a "clunk" every morning when I turned the steering wheel hard right. They said there was nothing wrong. I looked myself and found the top nut of the bottom pair on the vertical threaded strut on the anti-roll bar was half way up the threaded part, a whole 60mm above. Yes, they hadn't even looked. Anyone could see that when it was on the hoist. I asked them to rotate the wheels. When I got home and checked the wheels were in the same position. You only get what you pay for - a cheap service is no service at all!

I have a 4wd and i have been going to Absolute Mechanical for last 7 years, i have found then honest and reailable. if there is anything wrong with my vehicle i get a call with a quote and the quote stays as is. They also look after several of my friends and family cars and they have all found them very good. not to sure what the other negative people are talking about.
