I wouldn't go again! I was looking forward to a lunch out with friends, the staff were rude and arrogant and the food wasn't anything to write home about. The bill was over $250 and they wanted to charge me two dollars for a kids fun pack which wasn't worth 50c! There are plenty of places to eat in shellharbour so my advice to you would be to go somewhere else.

Very surprised at the bad comments about this restaurant. I have totally enjoyed my experience. I have dined there 4 times with family & friends over the last 3 years. It is expansive but for that special occasion I look forward to going there.

I cannot believe this restaurant has won ANY awards at all. My partner and I went to Addison's for our anniversary expecting great food. What we received was terrible. First, we shared a seafood plate for entree - there was no dipping sauce (especially for the tough king prawns) and my piece of fish had a bone in it. For mains, I had lobster mornay which hardly had any mornay sauce on it at all. My partner had grilled salmon - he was asked how he liked it cooked and told the waitress 'medium'. It came out so well done that the skin was burnt black. Service here was the only thing that saved it from being a complete disaster, although it would have been nice to have received an apology from the kitchen.

We had such high hopes and expectations and the evening started out well. The customer service was exceptional and we had our drinks and entrees without any problems. Then mains came two hours later. This was particularly horrible as we had three toddlers with us and had arrived early for that reason. By the time the food came we had to practically shovel it down in order to get our exhausted children home and into bed. I'm sure it was tasty but it's hard to tell when you don't have a chance to enjoy it. We also were unable to have our birthday cake (as we were celebrating two family member's biirthdays, one of which a 30th) which we had had specially made as it was just too late by the time we finished our meals. Ok, I don't like to say terrible things about people's businesses but my fiance and I ate here around two weeks ago and I think this experience should be heard. Upon entering the restaurant you are impressed by the decor and the presentation of the tables. The only let down was the presentation of the young man who seated us who's uniform did not fit and his hair could have done with a brush. Regardless of this he was pleasant and offered us drinks promptly which was impressive. This was then let down by the time it took to receive these drinks and it was obvious from this point on that they were definitely understaffed. We counted 5 different waitstaff for a pretty full restaurant. Normally that number would be ok, but with the prices you pay at this restaurant we had expected a more personal level of service than just drop your food and take it away. ...read more
