Telephone carrier employees are no longer the only cablers who are allowed to install, relocate and repair extra phone outlets in homes, offices etc. Consumers can now use the services of a registered or licensed cabler to carry
out telephone work past the carriers network boundary on their property to
their phone lines. We are ACMA nee AUSTEL Licensed.
We specialise in the installation and relocation of extra phone sockets to
your existing telephone lines for phones, internet connections ADSL and cable broadband (modems), faxes and answering machines in homes and offices as well as prewires for premises under construction. We also reconfigure and reconnect existing phone points and supply and fit - ADSL filters and central splitters, data cabling for computer LAN'S (CAT 5,6,7).

Spoke with a staff in the office (answers "hello" rather than company name which is confusing) and explained our problem. Technician who subsequently visited had not been briefed at all on what the problem was so we had to re-tell the story. The technician was also quite grumpy and somewhat rude. He initially misdiagnosed the problem. He then installed new wiring however the install was very untidy with wiring just laying on the ground. Where wiring was joined this is also just laying on the ground. Old wiring just left on the ground outside. No attempt at all to clean up. Receipt for the work ($180) is unreadable.
Bottom line is I cannot recommend these people at all.Not confident the problem has been fixed.
I have been trying to call their number for 4 days to provide feedback but it rings and then just drops out.
Zac answered the phone on the second ring, booked for the next day and arrived fairly promptly The job was done in 30 minutes and the charge was about what I expected -- very reasonable. I took a business card because, based on this experience, I will use this firm for a larger commercial job I have coming up.
Highly recommended.
Brunswick Telephone Installations was the second firm I contacted about this job. The first one never kept the appointment and never phoned to explain what happened. Pathetic.
