Aesop at Paddington gives a slightly different experience than its sister stores around town. It occupies a small sized classic terrace house that has been turned into a shop, and they decided to have minimal lighting inside to make the room to a little calmer, especially considering the outside is usually quite bright.
The fit out at this shop is also very minimal. There are no shelves in this shop. Everything is laid out on the one big table installed in the middle of the shop.
During my visit that afternoon, there were two staffs available. They were both friendly and one appeared to be a new staff but still managed to give an good level of service and and acceptable breadth of product knowledge.
Location wise. it is probably not the most convenient shop to go to, especially with an additional difficulty of finding a parking spot in this area.
The people who work in this store are so welcoming and helpful. This is really refreshing for shopping along Oxford Street. The best thing from here is the parsley leaf serum and the mandarin hand cream. The best thing is they will load you up with samples of other products to take home and try so there is no pressure to buy. The glass bottled hand cream also makes a great gift and they have great gift packs which make great Christmas presents.
