Afective Bridal

Do not waste your time. I went there last Saturday at 9.30 with my mum and 2 friends, once we entered we were asked if we had an appointment which I answered no because I was told I didn't need one. The staff working there then helped me try on a dress which didn't suit me so I asked to try on another dress which staff replied in a nasty tone 'I have an appointment in 15 minutes so this will be the last one' and then rudely said that the dress was expensive and hinted that I couldn't afford it. So I took the dress off and walked out. I will never go back and will be telling all my friends to avoid there. Disgusting service!!!

Did the whole Sydney Rd bridal strip & was soo exhausted and was almost ready to give up but on a recommendation we decided to head to Afective and l was so glad we did!

The selection of gowns was not overwhelming but the styles were impressively different (and soo clean compared to some of the bigger well known bridal places down sydney rd) and the consultants knew exactly what to recommend. I had not been before nor heard of the store but so happy for the recommendation. I will definitely recommend them. Don't bother!! I had a horrible experience. The service was horrific. I made an appointment for a weekday because it wouldn't be busy but they rushed me and I was only allowed to try on three dresses. Also they wouldn't let me try on a hoop or a veil. I was in and out in 15 minutes. It was like they didn't want me there, even though I was the only one in the shop. It really ruined my wedding dress shopping experience. Lucky there are other places that have wonderful customer service and give you the time you require when making such an important decision.
