Spoke to aggressively and rude. Openly admitted to over quoting my job as it was small and needed to be done before Xmas. Imagine I fell there was an actual problem with the service and was needing further attention. Was quoted x3 more than 4 other quotes for the same job. Never use them and never will with this kind of poor customer service. Shame that's all I can say.
After contacting a major antenna installation company in Brisbane I was told they couldn't tell me how much it would cost to put an antenna on my new build home without an electrician coming to inspect first. A second company quoted me $369 for antenna and installation. After leaving a message for Charles at Affordable Antennas Brisbane, he got back to me fast with the price of $250 for antenna plus installation. It also states prices on his website which not many do. Charles arrived earlier than expected, did a fast and quality job and was easy to deal with. Tv reception is as good as it gets. The only thing I could pick on was I found a cigarette stub wedge between my roof and the antenna bracket when I climbed up to inspect myself. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to use Charles and Affordable Antennas Brisbane again. I would definitely reccomend him for a good price trouble free installation.
Can't tell you about their service, as they never came! Called 40 mins after booking time, to be told they now can't make it. Wanted $99 to replace the end of a cable, which seemed ok to me (never had an antenna person out before), than called another who came out that evening and only charged $75 and ran a cover over the lead plus a new end connection.
Dear Annie Bruce, My name is Charles Murati and I own Affordable Antennas. I am sorry that we could not help you as planned that day. The questions we are asked by clients is varied, and the information we receive is often vague, and it is always a question of what is causing the problem. That said we do try our hardest to be professional, and very honest and upfront. That we could not arrive at your job was not on purpose, I do amit calling you late was regrettable. I offered to reschedule. I try very hard to be the best service provider, but admit that with the nature of this type of work in particular it is possible to get caught out with time loss due to issues arrising from existing complex problems needing repairs which take time. To be honest 99% of my past clients are happy and recommend me to family and friends because they trust me.
Very poor service. Charged $88 for 30 minute visit, only replacing one lead end. NOT affordable in my book.
I had issues with SBS and ABC reception at certain times of the day. They visited at a time when the reception was good and signal strength very high. A couple of hours later, reception was lost again. They didn't check the antenna, they didn't check the splitter. I later read on whirlpool forums about this reception issue being being a common issue and some of the likely offending causes. Surely, they should have known about these common issues and had a method to identify the culprit. Not professional service in any way.
