Technician stayed for 15 minutes when he visited us - my father is 90 years old and my mother has dementia. The technician knew this. The technician 'listened to the air conditioner' and decided it was broken and gave us a quote for over $4000 for a new unit as well as a $300 service call-out invoice. He was there for about 15 minutes. He didn't even look at the unit, didn't pull out a tool. Company said he was relying on his experience and so didn't need to even look at it, he could tell from the sound what was wrong with it.... We got Balmoral Air Con out - they were honest and reasonable - they said there is nothing wrong with the unit. Air Comfort is refusing to refund the fee. Have lodged formal complaint iwth relevant authorities about Air Comfort. Other reviews on this and other website indicate similar experiences. Caveat Emptor!

Had a LG box air conditioner placed in one of my rooms by Air Comfort over 6 years ago now making a terrible noise and not working.
Called them.
They say you need to replace. Better to get a split system.
Quote was $4,400.00 fitted?
As I had another done in Qld for $1,800.
So I get other quotes.
Same model ALL quotes fitted under $2400.00
Then Air Comfort charge for telling me old air conditioner is unrepairable @$205.00
Yet will take $205 off the $4,500 quote?,
so with them I pay $4,300.00 and anyone else $2,300.00-$2,500.00
Go figure.

expensive call out service at 198$ for a few mins lookign around and was not able to diagnose anything on the spot. A few days later a super expensive and non-competitive quote (with many potential more cost during repari conditions) came in.
