AJ's Indian Restaurant

I have always been a lover of indian spices and love trying out new indian restaurants up until last year that was where i had a very bad experience with indian food that upset my stomach, perhaps the chicken wasnt cooked properly but i have to say since dining at AJS I have restored my confidence that indian fopod can be great if not exceptional , these guys make authentic tasting indian food and the service is always fantastic everytime i have been there with the head chef bringing you out the food himself! Very good taste and also moderately priced too HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had seen that this Indian restaurant has won some local awards so we decided to try it for ourselves. Our experience was ok, nothing overly impressive or terrible. They mixed up our order with the table next to us, but that wasn't an issue. The food was alright. For the price, we prefer to go to other Indian restaurants in a neighbouring suburb.

My very first experience was terrible. there was a layer of cling wrap in Naan, and on complainig about the same, the staff just didnt seem to be curtoius enough to apologise. Disapppointed with the service.

Took my parents here, despite them saying they'd rather have Thai. We byo'd a wine from the bottle-o next door: an organic Cab Sav from south Australia which was incredibly good. First up an appetiser with mint sauce was perfect, then a delicious mushroom entree. Curries for mains next and all of them top shelf stuff. Butter chicken, an eggplant vegetarian curry, lamb padhi and a fish curry. Flavours are just right and we scoff it all down with naan and roti. My parents loved it and so did we.

This is probably my favourite Indian restaurant. The food is exceptional and always well prepared whenever I have dined here. The manager has a real passion for Indian food and this can be seen as he explains the tastes of the dishes available - and what beer goes with it, which is a bonus!
