Al-aseel Restaurant

Located on Waterloo Road, this Lebanese restaurant was busy with different dining groups of families, friends, and couples. At first glance it doesn't scream out that it is anything too special but once you start eating, you won't be able to stop. The service is pretty good.

We shared a Fattoush Salad, Hommos With Mincemeat & Chicken Lemon Garlic. There is complimentary pickled vegetables. The salad has infused flavours from the dressing of pomegranate and lemon that were amazing with the crunchy vegetables and the crispy Lebanese bread. Absolutely loved the Hommos as lots of bread on the table to mop that up with. The mincemeat made it more filling and added a lovely hot element to the dish. The chicken pieces were lovely and the creamy lemon garlic sauce is divine.

If you're in the area, it is worth a visit and there are heaps of sweet and desserts stored in close proximity including Ashta Laziza. That's definitely worth trying too.

Great service great food. Even though they are always busy the service does not let you down.

The food is authentic Lebanese and the food is always consistent. The portions are decent and you will leave very satisfied. If you can make breakfast then get the Fatteh which is chick peas & crispy lebanese bread covered with a yoghurt dressing, topped with sizzling pine nuts & melted butter. I highly recommend the Mansaf Chicken and the Al Aseel Mixed Plate.

Great Lebanese restaurant. The food is awesome, with the lemon garlic chicken being my favourite dish. The mixed plate a close second. The fattoush salad is very tangy and fresh, probably the best fattoush I've had. Although the food is great, the service could do with some improvements. Despite the less than stellar service, I still find myself coming back again and again just for the amazing food. Prices are reasonable, not too expensive, and the servings are very generous. Great place to bring large group of family/friends and enjoy a delicious Lebanese feast together.
