Had starting issues with my 4x4. These folks diagnosed it as an issue with the alternator. $300 + for a reconditioning...plus $40 for another bit of cable. The issue continued after a while and continued until I SIMPLY PUT A NEW BATTERY IN !!!
Total misdiagnosis and as an auto electrician how could they get the battery condition wrong??? Needless to say I haven't been back. Nice guys, there's a reason for that it seems....
Albion Automotive repairs looks after all of my family's cars. From a Mazda 3 to a Lexus IS200 my wife's Ford XR8 my GT and and Toyota HIACE work van. From a scheduled service and pink slip to major mechanical repairs on Brakes, electrical etc. This business has been in the automotive repair business for years. So there is nothing they can't handle. I have referred them to my friends whom own old Alfas, Valiants and Holdens and all are happy with work carried out. They have competitive prices on Green Slips and you can get a pink or Blue slip LPG and E-check on line, as well. Heck Joe will make you a short black espresso if you ask nicely while you wait. A true family business that cares. Something that is rapidly disappearing in the service industry.
I got a basic service done on our 2007 Prius - oil and filter change & safety checks and they charged me $300. I queried the high cost of the service, mentioning that it was $130 more than my last similar service at a different mechanic near our old place. They suggested that the other mechanic didn't do everything they did. However, the other mechanic provides a fully itemised list of what they do. Albion Automotive provided a docket with just a total cost for labour and a cost for parts. They said they also used synthetic oil. It's more expensive, but $300 for a basic service is not something I'll do again. I politely informed them that as a new resident to the area I was hoping to get the car serviced there regularly, but couldn't if this was their usual charges. That was it.
