Aldi is probably my favorite supermarket in Australia (maybe the world?) but this location is not one of the more pleasant places to shop. I guess because of the city location, it is ALWAYS swamped with people and I've had trouble with things being out of stock more than once. Had a particularly bad trip with a small child taking an orange from produce and peeling it all over the freezers while her mother was nowhere to be found. I just got no energy for that.
Given this supermarket literally a block away from my gym, its lately turned into my local supermarket. I recall when Aldi first came to Australia, it was great to see another supermarket which provided variety and created competition against the 2 supermarket giants here. Whats great about Aldi is that its not only a supermarket. I love the fact that they provide weekly specials on things apart from grocery items. There are garden tools, ski clothing, baby needs to even Manchester to even a blood pressure machine. The quality hasnt been too bad, as Ive purchased a number of different items from them. They seem to stock a number of produce that are imported from Europe which is great to finally see diversity in supermarket stock shelf. Their fresh produce are competitive, again it all comes down to knowing your prices as there has been a number of occasions in which other supermarkets prices were more competitive.
