DON'T SHOP AT ROYS!
I Just had the worst customer service I have ever experienced At Roy Alexander & Sons, to the point when I walked out the staff behind the counter asked if they had taken my money, threaten not to go back and apologize ( I have nothing to apologize for)and then told me to F**K OFF. I don't think anything I could have done could Warrant shop staff to speak to a paying customer like that. All I asked for was the packaging I paid for so I could transport my new shotgun to the car. They didn't even off me to purchase a case. I would not recommend anyone to go anywhere near this shop. Then I went to other retailers got a great Deal on ammo and had a laugh when I told everyone in the shop about the story.
Thanks to the staff, after some 16 years out of clay target shooting I went to 5 or 6 shops until I had had enough of lack of knowledge and people not realizing the level I shot at and trying to sell me what they had and not what I needed.
I then decided to travel from extreme South to Roy Alexander and sons, was shown a range of guns suitable for what I wanted, then had the gun fitted by possibly the best in the state, national coach for Australia along with another country.
I must tell all I new the store shot against one of the owners but had never been in the store prior as a close friend owned another gun shop during my shooting years but to their credit I was treated like royalty.
TOTALLY RECOMMENDED
Give them a try for all your needs you will not be disappointed and you will be advised of what you need and not what is on the shelf.
Regards
Bullfrog
The second I walked in the door I was confronted by the management, asking me if I was "alright".
I was hoping to make some enquiries about a Winchester model 70 that I have been researching .
Every attempt I made to enquire about the rifle was stymied by them, to the point that I felt uncomfortable being there..
I own multiple firearms and have spent alot of time in different stores over the years talking shop with dealers and gunsmiths, so was quite taken back by the general lack of helpfulness and interest that I received .
Their biggest asset should be quality customer service and the ability for a prospective customer to come and hold the rifle in their hands and get a feel for it.
I would not waste my time returning..
An excellent gun shop. The guys are very knowledgeable about the products and the legislation. Lots of new longarms on display and they can order in catalogue items if they aren't stocked. A huge range of ammunition and accessories. Also do a pretty fine job gunsmithing.
