Developmental music classes for children, as well as piano lessons, musicianship and theory of music in a private music studio located in the heart of Burwood.
Well educated and very experienced teacher (over thirty years in the music education industry). Accredited teacher and affiliated with KMEIA (do-re mi).Educated at Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Associate Diploma in Music Teaching), and Kodaly Music Education Institute Australia (Certificates in Pre-school, Early Childhood and Primary Music).
Do-Re-Mi classes involve carefully sequenced learning through singing, movement, dance, listening, rhythm activities, musical games, percussion instruments and ultimately, reading, writing, creating and performing.
Lessons are fun and develop many skills such as musical, listening, memory, co-ordination and socialisation. Children can gain confidence, self esteem and a sense of well being through learning music also.
Classes are conducted using quality materials in a vibrant learning environment.
The benefits of the Kodaly Methodology continue on as children progress to learn piano or other chosen instruments. Piano lessons can be taken at the Burwood studio from the age of six years and instruction in Musicianship and Theory of Music is also available.
