The other review below is right on the money. Alto relies too heavily on the view - not only does the food underimpress, but the staff are clumsy in their approch and I found them easliy distracted with their own chatter to tend to any of the tables, let alone ours, where we asked three times for drinks.
What an expensive view. For about $250 my wife and I got to see stuff from high up. The food must have been a bonus, as I wouldn't have paid for it. The menu does read well, but it doesn't deliver.
The staff were dismissive and rude; they didn't now what they were talking about half the time and didn't have a clue that we'd waited as long as we did for a forgotten order. This was followed by more rudeness, meals not arriving together, sides being forgotten and not really feeling welcome.
If it wasn't for the view, this place would be nothing.
