Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante
This much-loved Italian bistro is going strong after more than two decades of service. Generous serves of home-style pastas such as the zingarella linguine with prawns in a chilli honey butter sauce or the robust rigatoni ragu with its rich, chunky veal meat sauce are deeply satisfying. Amalfi turns out arguably the best pizzas in the city. Italian classics with an Amalfi flavour include the saltimbocca alla Romana - pan-fried glazed veal topped with Parma ham and served with spinach and roast potatoes.

A friend raved on about the pizza's here so I gave it a try.. The base was perfect but pizza as a whole it wasn't that much of a 'wow' for me, if anything it was way too cheesy and quite oily. The service was very good though, helpful friendly staff and the menu had lots of options and numerous specials on the board too. I would like to come back and give the pasta's a go. I would recommend To booked especially Fridays-Sundays because it gets very busy.
